Discount retailer Home Bargains has invested approximately £1 million into its new store in Kent . The store will open at Hempstead Valley Shopping Centre in Hempstead, near Gillingham, on Saturday (November 15) at 8am.
Fifty-five jobs have been created at the new store, with 53 of them being "new hires". Store manager Robert Harley said: "It's been a long time coming and I can't wait to get open and deliver top brands at bottom prices to the good people of Hempstead."
The store is 17,330 sq ft and will stock homewares, health and beauty products, sweets, snacks and drinks, as well as fresh and frozen food. Mr Harley said: "The new store is well situated to meet the needs of the locals, with a great variety of everyday essentials along with fresh, chilled and frozen food, all under one
