With the shutdown straining air travel ahead of the holidays, Transportation Secretary Sean Duffy is warning that even mere trouble may be on the way if the government does not reopen. It comes as United Airlines announced it has already canceled nearly 300 flights on Wednesday and a total of 8% could be scrapped at the nation’s busiest hubs including New York, Chicago, Atlanta, Denver, Phoenix, Dallas and Los Angeles.
