Man in wheelchair dies, woman taken to hospital after house fire in Paulding County, officials say

ATLANTA — A man is dead, and a woman was taken to the hospital after a house fire on Tuesday night, according to the Paulding County Fire Department.

Fire officials say the incident happened at around 9:28 p.m. on Nov. 11, along Flagger Way.

According to the department, a man who was wheelchair bound was trapped in the house and died at the scene. Officials said a second victim, a woman, was taken to the hospital for treatment due to smoke inhalation.

At this time, the cause of the fire is unknown.
