Edinburgh TV presenter Kirsty Gallacher broke down in tears as she battled a driving ban in court .
The 49-year-old was stripped of her licence, despite pleading she had 'no confidence' using public transport . She claimed to require her car to transport her family .
During the hearing, she was banned from driving for six months after speeding at 35mph through a 30mph zone in Maiden's Green, Berkshire, at around 8am on April 1 this year. During the emotional hearing at High Wycombe magistrates' court, Kirsty had tried to secure a driving ban exemption citing exceptional hardship, reports the Mirror .
