Rithvik Dhanjani needs no introduction. A familiar face on Indian television , from soaps such as Bandini, Pyaar Ki Yeh Ek Kahaani and Pavitra Rishta to reality shows including Nach Baliye and Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa, he has carved a lasting place in the industry. But his rise was not without hardship. Rithvik described an early, traumatic encounter with the casting-couch culture in Mumbai.

He recalled spending his initial days in the city going daily to Aram Nagar, the well-known hub for auditions.
