The New York Giants’ coaching change won’t be the only significant move made by the team this week.
The Giants are expected to start veteran QB Jameis Winston against the Green Bay Packers on Sunday, ESPN’s Adam Schefter reported on Wednesday.
Winston will get the call over fellow veteran Russell Wilson after rookie Jaxson Dart suffered a concussion in last week’s loss to the Chicago Bears.
The Giants (2-8) fired head coach Brian Daboll this week, replacing him with interim coach Mike Kafka.
Winston last played in Week 15 last season with the Cleveland Browns.
Winston, 31, is 36-51 for his career as a starter with Tampa Bay, New Orleans and Cleveland.
