House Speaker Mike Johnson is poised to swear in U.S. Rep.-elect Adelita Grijalva, winding down a nearly seven-week-long standoff that became a flashpoint for Democratic complaints and paving the way for a politically sensitive vote on the disgraced financier Jeffrey Epstein.
The ceremony will take place on Nov. 12 at around 2 p.m. Arizona time at the U.S. Capitol in Washington, D.C., just before the House is expected to vote on a funding deal to reopen the federal government.
