Carlos Alcaraz delivered a strong comeback against Taylor Fritz in the ATP Finals, taking down the American with a commanding performance on Tuesday.
That victory moves Alcaraz to within one more win of confirming his spot in the semifinals, as well as putting him on the verge of securing world number one status heading into 2026.
“It’s difficult to explain my feelings right now. It’s something that I dreamed about since I started playing tennis, since I was five or six years old,” Alcaraz said after the match.
The Spanish player added: “It was a long road, but finally I’m here. And it’s an amazing feeling and something that I won’t ever forget.”
