The annual Nov. 11 Remembrance Day service was held in the Nipigon Legion Hall, with firefighters John Maedel and Joel Willan bringing in the flags, accompanied by Sea Cadets.
The service was led by legion president Mary Ellen Roy, who spoke about a reason for all to be there and for everyone to continue to "let us not forget."
The invocation was given by Brian Van Arragon, and Ava Walter recited In Flanders Fields.
Wreaths from most of the organizations and businesses in Nipigon were put in place by representatives or a Sea Cadet.
Nipigon will likely be the only service to add a new meaning to remember.
