Boston Bruins star forward David Pastrnak scored his 400th career goal in the team’s 5-3 home win over the Toronto Maple Leafs on Tuesday.

Pastrnak scored just 49 seconds into the second period to give Boston a 4-1 lead. Once he scored, the entire Bruins bench cleared to celebrate with Pastrnak on the ice.

Following the game, Pastrnak said scoring his 400th career goal at home in front of Bruins fans made it special.

“It was awesome to top it off with a win,” Pastrnak said on Tuesday, as seen on NESN’s postgame coverage. “To be able to do it at home in front of our fans, that is why it was special.”

Pastrnak, meanwhile, admitted he didn’t think too much about his 400th goal until the entire team swarmed him on the ice.
