Season 2 of Taylor Sheridan’s “Landman” is almost here. The Paramount+ drama returns on Sunday, Nov. 16, and you’re not alone if you need a refresher on season 1 before then.

Set in Midland, Texas, “Landman” stars Billy Bob Thornton as Tommy Norris, a landman and fixer for M-Tex Oil. Season 1 ended on a major cliffhanger when Bobby’s boss, M-Tex owner Monty Miller (Jon Hamm), suffered a fatal heart attack.
After Monty’s death, Tommy was promoted to President of the oil company. With more power comes more problems, and Tommy already had his fair share of turmoil last season.
