GULFPORT, Miss. (WLOX) - A group of veterans, former federal employees, and community members gathered in Gulfport on Veterans Day to protest cuts made to government programs and personnel.

The group gathered on the tramway and pedestrian bridge over Highway 90 in Gulfport.

Organizers of the “Vets Say No” protest said they are dismayed by the cuts made and believe the current administration is misusing the military in American cities.

Lead organizer Chris Morey said the protest helps fulfill an oath he made to his country.
