Guwahati, Nov 12: Assam Police on Wednesday arrested five individuals from different districts of the state for allegedly posting and sharing inflammatory content related to Monday’s Red Fort blast in Delhi, which claimed at least 10 lives.
Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma announced the arrests on X, stating, “In connection with the recent Delhi blast, Assam Police has arrested the following individuals for spreading offensive and inflammatory content online.”
The arrested have been identified as Mattiur Rahman (Darrang), Hassan Ali Mondal (Goalpara), Abdul Latif (Chirang), Wajhul Kamal (Kamrup), and Nur Amin Ahmed (Bongaigaon).
