With countless additional letters and parcels expected to overwhelm the postal system throughout the Christmas season, the unnamed delivery expert posted a comprehensive 12-point 'survival guide' on Reddit. At the forefront of his advice? Ensure addresses are written correctly.

"Avoid vague addressees like 'Mum' without a house number," he pleaded, whilst also emphasising that when using darker envelopes, it's crucial to opt for a light-coloured pen.
