Dr Umar Nabi, who was driving the explosives-laden car that blew up near Red Fort on Monday evening, had visited a Tablighi Jammat-run mosque in Old Delhi for around 15 minutes before proceeding towards the blast site, sources told India Today TV.
According to Delhi Police sources, Dr Umar, a native of Jammu and Kashmir's Pulwama district, visited Faiz Elahi Masjid around 2:30 pm on the day of the blast and spent there around 10-15 minutes. After that, he left for the Red Fort parking near Sunehri Masjid.
CCTV footage also shows him entering and exiting the mosque.
