Northern Lights dazzle across central Illinois — viewers capture stunning photos

(WAND) - Central Illinois residents were treated to a rare and breathtaking sight as the Northern Lights, or Aurora Borealis, lit up the night sky Tuesday evening.

Viewers sent in photos from across the area and surrounding communities sharing their snapshots of the colorful spectacle.
