The controversy came to light after activist Sol Dodum exposed alleged irregularities in compensation disbursement under the Frontier Highway project

The Arunachal Pradesh government has suspended 5 officials in connection with the land compensation scam involving over Rs 130 crore linked to the Frontier Highway project from Lada (Bichom) to Sarli (Kurung Kumey).

The arrested officials are – Abhinav Kumar, IFS, Divisional Forest Officer, Seppa; Miram Perme, District Agriculture Officer, Seppa; C.K. Tayum, District Horticulture Officer; Takam Kechak, District Land Revenue & Settlement Officer and Himanshu Nigam, IAS, Deputy Commissioner, East Kameng.

The alleged irregularities pertain to packages 1, 3, and 4 of the project.
