Air travelers continued to deal with increasing flight delays and cancellations even with a looming end to the government shutdown.

When the shutdown ends, it's likely those travelers will see things get worse before they get better at busy U.S. airport, including San Francisco and Oakland international airports.

The Fedral Aviation Administration ordered a phased reduction in flights at those select airports, causing delays and cancellations. The agency reported 22 delays and 45 cancellations at SFO and one delay and 11 cancellations at Oakland International as of Wednesday morning.
