BIRMINGHAM, Ala. ( WBRC ) - If you attended the Veterans Day Parade in Birmingham, you may have noticed a collection of vintage military vehicles participating.
These vehicles are part of the Dixie Division Military Vehicle club . According to their president, the club has participated in the parade since the club’s inception in 1999.
The president of the club says their mission is to keep history alive.
“We’re basically a car club. Some of us restore our own vehicles, some of us buy them and restore them and show them,” said Alan Mosely, president of the Dixie Division Military Vehicle club.
Mosley’s father was a veteran and Mosely says he has been involved in Birmingham’s Veterans Day parade since he was a member of his school band.
