Philadelphia Department of Public Health officials have alerted travelers of a possible measles exposure at the Philadelphia International Airport.

Those who were in Terminal A or Terminal B of the airport Nov. 9 between 8:50 a.m. and 4 p.m. have possibly been exposed, as an individual with measles was traveling through the airport at that time.

Measles is a contagious virus that spreads through the air. People who aren't protected against measles can contract the virus up to two hours after an infected person leaves a room or shared airspace.

“We believe there is no threat to the general public associated with this case of measles,” Health Commissioner Palak Raval-Nelson said in a news release . “We encourage people who were possibly exposed to take action if they are not protected
