A predator who sexually assaulted a woman as she was sleeping inside a Halls Creek home more than a year ago remains on the run.
Specialist detectives from the sexual assault squad will be in Halls Creek — a town in WA’s east Kimberley region — on Monday as part of the ongoing investigation into the horrific crime that occurred on February 21 last year.
A police spokeswoman said the unknown man entered the home before sexually assaulting a woman who was asleep about 1am.
“He also stole various items before leaving the area on foot,” she said.
Police have released CCTV of the attacker, who was wearing a distinctive baggy t-shirt, in a bid to track him down.
The offender is described as being of slim build, with a dark complexion. He was wearing dark pants, a baggy t-shirt, and no shoes
