Cooper & Fry is the brand new drama from Channel 5. The series is based on the bestselling novels by Stephen Booth and sees two mismatched detectives, DC Ben Cooper and DC Diane Fry, work together on a series of unusual cases to get results.

Local DC Cooper is played by Coronation Street and Downton Abbey star Robert James-Collier, while Doctor Who actor Mandip Gill takes on the role of guarded newcomer Fry.

Speaking about his new role as Ben Cooper, Robert said: "This is a new detective series and it’s always fun to be a detective, because playing one involves a lot of action. To be part of a brand-new show based on a series of books is exciting. I knew Mandip from shows like Doctor Who and she’s a quality actress, and it was fun to work with her."
