The Tampa Bay Buccaneers made a pair of moves on their practice squad Wednesday, signing fourth-year outside linebacker Benton Whitley and releasing rookie defensive lineman Desmond Watson. In addition, rookie running back Josh Williams has been placed on the reserve/suspended list.
The moves leave the Buccaneers with one open spot on the 53-man roster heading into the week of practice prior to Sunday's game in Buffalo.
Whitley most recently went to training camp with the Arizona Cardinals in August, though he was released during the final roster cuts. He has previously appeared in a total of six regular season games with the Minnesota Vikings and New York Giants, recording one pass defensed and one fumble recovery.
