TV crime expert David Wilson has claimed that banker Alistair Wilson was murdered by a professional hitman and believes his work as a business manager is key to solving the case.
Alistair was gunned down on the steps of his home in Crescent Road in Nairn on November 28, 2004, with his wife and two young sons indoors.
At the time of the murder almost 21 years ago Alistair had quit his post with HBOS to take on a new job in Inverness.
In an exclusive interview with the Daily Record's weekly Criminal Record podcast Professor Wilson said detectives should also employ a forensic accountant to look at Alistair's work at the bank before his murder.
