It was a banner Remembrance Day ceremony at Waverley Park in Thunder Bay on Tuesday.

Besides commemorating the 100th anniversary of the dedication of the cenotaph to the park in 1925 and the annual observance of the fallen soldiers from the wars overseas, one just had to look up at the lampposts surrounding the grounds for another commitment to Thunder Bay's brave souls.

Banners — two soldiers to a pole peering down on the north-side ceremony — graced the streets leading up to and along Waverley Park.

George Romick, the event's master of ceremonies and a veteran of almost 47 years as an army reservist, said everything that can bestowed on these fallen warriors has to be taken into consideration.

"It's the 100th anniversary for the dedication of the cenotaph and that's special," Romick
