An Australian cricket legend has warned England against pinning their Ashes hopes on Joe Root.

Root is the second highest Test run-scorer of all-time with 13,543 from 158 matches.
Of those, 2,428 runs have come against Australia but he is yet to win an away Ashes series.
Root has also failed to score a Test century in Australia so far in his career.
Former fast bowler Hogg has pinpointed the reason for his woes ahead of the first Test .
