LAKEWOOD, Ohio -- Lakewood City Schools decades ago created the District Leadership Team to improve the school experience.
“It consists of principals and teachers from each building as well as coordinators and a teacher from all of our programs,” Lakewood City Schools Assistant Superintendent Christine Palumbo said.
“Several other cabinet and district-level administrators participate, as well as the LTA (Lakewood Teachers Association) president.”
However, three years ago, the group -- which meets quarterly -- opened its ranks to include students with positive results.
Palumbo said the idea to add pupils was suggested by Lakewood City Schools Superintendent Maggie Niedzwiecki.
