Authorities in Newark request the public’s help identifying the male suspect, who took a victim’s iPhone on November 3.
Newark Public Safety Director Emanuel Miranda Sr. stated that at approximately 11:20 a.m., the victim was shopping at the Burlington clothing store, located in the 700 block of Mayor Kenneth A. Gibson Boulevard.
According to Newark officials, surveillance video shows the victim dropping an item. When she picked it up, the suspect took her iPhone from the baby cart she was carrying.
The suspect is described as a short, light-skinned Hispanic male. He wore a black jacket with a blue hood, Newark officials stated.
