The Boston Red Sox are on an upward trajectory after improving their record in each of the last two seasons — a trend they hope to continue in 2026.

But first, they must navigate a pivotal offseason and address several pressing needs, including adding an elite starting pitcher and impact slugger.

Red Sox chief baseball officer Craig Breslow is confident he has the resources to meet those needs and keep improving the roster through either trade or free agency .
