Agartala, 12 th November 2025: A disturbing scene has emerged from Ward No. 2 of the Nayapara locality in Amjadnagar under the Hrishyamukh block of Belonia subdivision. The local Anganwadi Kendra meant to provide essential nutrition to children and pregnant women has reportedly been operating without basic food supplies such as rice and lentils for nearly two weeks.

An Anganwadi worker, visibly shaken when confronted on camera, confirmed that while children were given a light tiffin in the morning, the absence of rice and lentils made it impossible to serve khichdi, a staple midday meal.
