Some UK areas could see "a month’s worth of rain in 24 hours", according to the Met Office's latest forecast.

It comes as the Met Office has issued a severe weather warning for rain covering large parts of England and Wales this weekend, where flooding is likely to bring travel and other impacts.

As of Wednesday, November 12, two warnings remain in place . The first is a yellow rain warning affecting parts of Wales including Swansea, Cardiff and Newport and is set to remain in place until 11.59pm on Wednesday night.

The second is a yellow rain and wind warning affecting south west England (Cornwall, Devon, Plymouth and Somerset) until 6pm on Wednesday. View 3 Images
