SALT LAKE CITY — Two people were injured following a rollover crash on U.S. Highway 89 in Layton Tuesday night.
Sgt. Mike Alexander with the Utah Highway Patrol said two cars were involved in the crash. He said one car lost control, causing it to roll into the southbound on-ramp, where it hit a second car.
The male driver of the car that rolled sustained serious injuries in the crash, and a female passenger was ejected, sustaining critical injuries. The female passenger was flown to the hospital via Life Flight.
The single occupant of the other car did not sustain any injuries.
According to the Utah Department of Transportation, all lanes, the entry ramp, and the left and right shoulders of southbound U.S. Highway 89 near mile point 402 are blocked.
