LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- A Texas man pleaded not guilty to charges that he made violent threats against University of Louisville football coach Jeff Brohm, members of Brohm's family and coaching staff, and quarterback Miller Moss.
Brian S. Mandel, 38, of Corpus Christi, Texas, was arraigned Tuesday in Jefferson Circuit Court, where he entered the not guilty plea. A judge set his bond at $100,000 cash and ordered that Mandel have no contact with the alleged victims, consume no alcohol and refrain from gambling.
Mandel was indicted earlier this week on six counts of second-degree terroristic threatening and one count of attempted theft by extortion of more than $10,000. The indictment alleges Mandel made the threats Nov. 8-9, the weekend Louisville lost to California in overtime at L&N
