House Speaker Mike Johnson is hoping members can make it back to Washington in order to vote this afternoon on a Senate approved measure to reopen the government .

House members have been in recess since the shutdown almost a month and half ago making it the longest in U-S history.

Like a lot of other travelers lawmakers are having to deal with flight cancellations and delays caused by the shutdown.

One lawmaker is driving his motorcycle from Wisconsin in hopes of getting back to Washington in time.

No word yet on whether he made it.
