IOWA CITY, Iowa (KCRG) - Iowa City’s Summer of the Arts is back again in 2026 with its free 3-day Jazz Festival downtown.
The festival will be over the weekend of July 3-5 next year, feature two stages of talent, and present the award-winning quintet ARTEMIS as its main event.
The band is a powerhouse of highly-regarded artists. It was founded by pianist Renee Rosnes and includes trumpeter Ingrid Jensen, tenor saxophonist Nicole Glover, bassist Noriko Ueda, and drummer Allison Miller.
The group won Jazz Group of the Year in 2023 and 2024 of the Downbeat Readers Poll.
The band has also been featured on NPR’s Tiny Desk Concert , praised for their “sleek, rhythm-forward, modern sound.”
