The pause in providing full Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program benefits nationally has caused one area non-profit to drop everything, including a popular fundraising event, to address the increased need some area residents have for food.
Trinity Development Neighborhood and Community Center postponed its “World of Wizards,” Harry Potter-themed event that had been scheduled for late October until a date yet to be determined in spring 2026. The non-profit organization provides food, clothing and other emergency needs for disadvantaged families and others in need.
