We just can’t keep North Hunterdon High School graduate Kente Edwards out of the weekly local college football roundup headlines.

Edwards earned Patriot League Offensive Player of the Week honors for the second straight week and the fifth time this season after rushing for a career-high 260 yards on just 20 carries in Lafayette College’s 59-42 Patriot League win over Colgate on Saturday at Fisher Stadium. The junior scored on runs of 29, 6 and 49 yards to boost his season TD total to 15, which is one shy the school record.

Edwards’ 260 yards eclipsed the 255 yards he gained in a win at Georgetown. It is the third-most by a Leopard and is behind only Ross Scheuerman’s 304 yards against Lehigh in 2014 and Nick “Special K” Kowgios’ 296 against Princeton in 1982. Despite missing 2 ½ games,
