ATLANTA — Get ready for another light show Wednesday night. About two dozen states are forecast to see the aurora borealis, more commonly known as the northern lights.
Two coronal mass ejections have already hit the planet, but forecasters say at least one more could arrive Wednesday — and it may be the strongest of the bunch.
“We think that’s going to pack an even stronger punch than what we’ve already experienced,” said Shawn Dahl of the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration in a video posted on X , formerly known as Twitter.
