BELLEVUE, Neb. (WOWT) - The Bellevue Police Department has named the pedestrian that was hit and killed Tuesday evening.
The crash happened shortly before 5 p.m. Tuesday on Highway 75 near Cornhusker Road.
An initial investigation reveled that a concrete truck was northbound on Highway 75, also known as the JFK Freeway, when a person was struck.
In a release, 17-year-old O’Dell Jackson, of Bellevue, was named as the pedestrian. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
The incident is under investigation, BPD says in the release.
The crash shut down some northbound lanes on the highway for several hours. It opened back up at about 9 p.m. Tuesday.
