EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WEVV) — A father is dead and a man is in custody following a deadly incident at Carriage House Apartments late Monday night.

Just before midnight, Evansville police responded to multiple 911 calls reporting shots fired at the apartment complex located off Green River Road.

Authorities said they noticed a car driving erratically nearby and pulled over 21-year-old Drasean Hogan.

"One caller noted a man had in fact been shot and was unresponsive," Sgt. Anthony Aussieker of the Evansville Police Department said. "As they were responding they noticed a vehicle was driving erratically in the area so they made a stop on that vehicle, detained the driver. In plain view inside that vehicle was a firearm," Aussieker said.
