Scotland's best scenic drives "for a weekend escape in the Highlands" have been named. Three driving routes across the north of the country were singled out.
On Monday, November 10, the Inverness Palace Hotel and Spa shared a roundup of the top road trips in the Scottish Highlands. The routes were chosen for their "glens, mirror-like lochs, and timeless villages".
Coming in at number one on the Palace Hotel and Spa's list is a shortened version of the North Coast 500 . The North Coast 500 is a 516-mile route around the Highlands that starts and ends in Inverness, and is one of the country's most popular road trips.
