STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. — Pete Davidson says there’s only one person who could convince him to make a full-time return to “Saturday Night Live”: Lorne Michaels.

The Staten Island native said he’d “do anything for Lorne” in a recent interview with “ People ,” crediting the show’s longtime creator and executive producer for launching his career.

“I owe that guy my life. He jump-started everything,” Davidson said. “I had a great time hosting last time, and anytime you get that call, it’s an honor and a privilege. It’s always relevant, it’s a hot show. People look forward to it, and the cast is great.”
