The Supreme Court Bar Association (SCBA) has filed a petition in the Supreme Court through Advocate-on-Record Pragya Baghel, drawing attention to incidents across several states where women’s dignity, bodily autonomy, and privacy were allegedly violated during menstruation.
The petition cites disturbing cases from Uttar Pradesh, Maharashtra, and Gujarat, including a recent incident at Maharshi Dayanand University (MDU) in Haryana, where four female employees were allegedly asked to prove they were menstruating.
