JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — The Jacksonville Sheriff's Office says that a man has been arrested following a seven-month-long investigation into a crash that killed a local teacher and his son.
On May 16, 2025, Mitchell Patch, a math teacher at Bayview Elementary, and his son Everett were crossing Baymeadows Road at around 8:30 p.m.
As they were crossing the road, police say that a Honda Civic, driven by Logan Fletcher Park, 24, struck them. Jacksonville Fire and Rescue pronounced them deceased at the scene.
Police say that Park was transported to a local hospital, where his blood alcohol level was drawn. According to their results, his blood alcohol content was .107, which is above the legal limit . Through an investigation with the State Attorneys Office, police say a warrant for Park's
