DOUGLAS COUNTY — People around Minnesota were treated to an amazing showing of the northern lights Tuesday, Nov. 11.
The lights were visible from late evening through the early morning hours around the state, including Douglas and other surrounding counties. It was the most intense activity since May 2024, according to mprnews.org, with the peak reached around 9 p.m.
And on Wednesday, Nov. 12, the lights could make another display. According to the MPR article, a KP index of 6.67 is forecast, which isn’t as intense as Tuesday night, but enough to make them visible all across Minnesota, even south.
