SIOUX CITY (KTIV) - For those Sioux City residents who haven’t had enough of the cold outdoors, they are in luck. The Sioux City Public Museum has opened its new frosty and free exhibit.
The new exhibit, called “Walking in Antarctica,” opened its doors to the public on Wednesday, Nov. 12, taking its audience on a trip through the lakes and terrain of Antarctica and following the footsteps of Helen Glazer, the exhibit’s artist.
“Through her artwork, Glazer strives to convey the wonder and complexity of the natural world to others, in order to motivate a desire to protect and preserve wild places,” said the Sioux City Museum, “Her study of earth science over the past several years heightened her awareness of multiple factors shaping the land over time.”
