Police presence at Vinton Middle School; no threat found

VINTON, La. (KPLC) - There was an increased law enforcement presence at Vinton Middle School this morning as investigators followed up on an alleged threat made earlier this week by a student.

“We conducted an investigation in conjunction with [the Calcasieu Parish School Board] and determined there was not a threat to the school,” Police Chief Scott Spell said.
