EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WEVV) — Evansville Police say they arrested a man after he was accused of firing a gun during an argument.
Police say 31-year-old Jerome Jackson Jr. was arrested on charges of battery committed with a deadly weapon, criminal recklessness with a deadly weapon, and unlawful carrying of a handgun.
Officers were called to the area of 12th Avenue and Illinois Street on Tuesday after 911 callers reported hearing gunfire and seeing a tan car leaving the area.
Police say they identified a possible suspect as Jerome Jackson and spoke with the victim.
The victim told police the incident all started over an altercation on the school bus between their stepchild and Jackson's child.
According to EPD, the victim claimed Jackson got aggressive during a conversation about the fight
