BEAUFORT COUNTY, S.C. (WTOC) - Shaniyah Void, 23, was sentenced to 25 years in prison Wednesday after pleading guilty to three charges related to the DJ Fields murder case.
Judge Bonds sentenced Void to concurrent terms on charges of first-degree assault and battery by mob, second-degree assault and battery by mob, and third-degree assault and battery by mob.
She will serve 17 years with the South Carolina Department of Corrections, followed by five years of probation.
Void had served 1,337 days in jail, nearly four years, which covered her sentence on the third-degree charge.
The first and second-degree charges each carry 25-year sentences, but she will serve 17 years with an additional eight years suspended if she violates probation.
