A coworking space called Arkade has opened at the Ledger in downtown Bentonville to give both startups and established brands a place to work and innovate together.
Kathryn Carlisle, Arkade's director of portfolio operations, said the 6,000-square-foot space on the building's fifth floor can accommodate about 50 people working there full time. But it can be expanded and reconfigured to fit more as the need arises, she said.
Carlisle said Arkade will bring together "growth-stage innovators (hardware and software) and established brands, investors" and others "to connect through programming, pilots and shared innovation initiatives."
